With ever tightening requirement of Mileage, Pickup, Emission norms along with Crash Safety norms; there is requirement to use lighter yet stronger material for building Automotive Body. While a vast range of Advanced High Strength Steels have been developed; there are difficulties associated in using them. Hot Forming Technology is one way to get over some of the problems and extend its application window of specifications. There is very limited knowhow available in Indian Industry about Hot Forming, its Press Tools, Equipment, Software and complimentary technology ecosystem to support it.
